India on Sunday arrested renowned Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan from India's Indira Gandhi International Airport for illegally carrying 4,000 just minutes before his departure to Dubai. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials also intercepted two members of his troupe from the departure lounge. Besides the 4,000 in cash, traveler checks and demand drafts were also found in his baggage. Khan had not declared the foreign currency to the Customs officials. Some 14 members accompanied the singer. |
